Addiction counselling & support on the Sunshine Coast.
Personalised support for alcohol, drug and gambling concerns, and other addictive patterns. Work directly with Deb and Ian through online or in-person counselling in Maroochydore, a supported stay in a hotel setting, or a mix of both. You don’t have to work out the next step alone.

Work personally with Deb and Ian
Personal addiction support with Deb and Ian.
You may be concerned about drinking, drug use, gambling, repeated setbacks, cravings or the effect an addictive pattern is having on your relationships and daily life. You may be looking for support after detox or specialist treatment, or simply a first conversation about change.
Deb and Ian provide the individual sessions. Meet Deb and Ian and read about their experience. We discuss what you want help with, what support you already have and whether our approach and setting suit your needs. Other health professionals can be brought in as needed, with your agreement.
Alcohol, drug & gambling support.
Alcohol concerns: talk about drinking patterns, their impact on your life and relationships, and what you want to change.
Drug and substance-use concerns: discuss what is happening with drugs or medication use, the support you already receive and whether counselling could be part of your next step. Any withdrawal or medication plan belongs with your treating medical professional.
Gambling and other addictive patterns: talk about repeated behaviours, their effects on daily life and the practical support you are looking for.
You can also enquire after detox or specialist treatment. We assess suitability individually and discuss how support here could complement your existing care.
Addiction counselling, a supported stay, or both.
You can begin with a conversation rather than a complete plan.
Online or in-person addiction counselling
Work with Deb or Ian in person or online. Talk about what is happening, the changes you want to make and the support you need around those changes. No accommodation is required.
A personalised supported stay
Discuss time away in a private hotel apartment on the Sunshine Coast, with an agreed programme of focused sessions, check-ins and practical support. Suitability, contact arrangements and the support available between sessions are confirmed before booking.
A mix of sessions and a stay
Discuss counselling before a stay, sessions during your time here and ongoing support afterwards. The balance is personalised; you remain involved in decisions about your programme.
Looking for detox or withdrawal support?
Detox and counselling are different parts of addiction care. Medical assessment may be needed to decide how withdrawal can be managed safely and which setting is appropriate. Our counselling and hotel-based support do not provide medically supervised withdrawal, medication management or hospital detox.
If you may be physically dependent on alcohol or drugs, speak with your doctor or an alcohol and drug service before stopping or reducing use. We can discuss whether our support is appropriate alongside, or following, a medical care plan. A hotel booking should not be used as a plan for managing withdrawal alone.
For severe symptoms or immediate danger, call 000. Our enquiry form is not an emergency service.

A supported setting for working on change.
The focus is practical, personal support: time to talk honestly, identify what you want to change and develop next steps you can keep working on. Your programme may include individual counselling, life coaching, couples or family counselling where appropriate, and involvement from other health professionals.
For a stay, we agree sessions, check-ins, practical arrangements and available support in advance. Accommodation, catering arrangements, inclusions and total fees are confirmed privately. Additional professional services and optional extras have an additional cost, subject to availability.
You remain free to choose what you participate in. The setting does not provide continuous clinical supervision, a hospital admission or a specialist residential rehabilitation programme.
When addiction and mental health overlap.
You can also tell us if anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, grief or relationship difficulties are part of what is happening. We discuss your needs together and whether specialist care should be involved.
Explore personalised mental health support.
Your first enquiry can simply describe what is going on and whether you are open to online counselling, in-person counselling, a supported stay, a mix, or help deciding. There are no dates, meals, accommodation or activity questions on this short form.
